Have you heard about the error that occcurs when using canon digital camers? It`s known as the dreaded "E18 error" and renders the camera unuseable. It seems that this error can occur at any time from when the camera is new to, as often happens, just after the guarantee has run out. Now I wouldn`t normally give this a second thought but as I know that canon cameras have a somewhat fine reputation, and as I was about to buy one of these cameras, I am now in a bit of a predicament; to buy or not to buy. You see, this thing about the E18 error seems to be only talked about on the net. No one in any of the camera shops seem to have heard of this problem, but it is very widely talked about on the Net. I really want to buy a Canon because they are supposed to be the best digital camera out there. So, do I believe what is said on the Net or do I believe all the people I speak to in the real world of shops.

Hi Linda,
I don`t know if there has been any problems with the Canon EOS D20 regarding E18 error, but if you have a computer, just type in E18 error into your browser and you will get a lot of info.

Hiya Bob, I did that thanks and found lots about the E18 error but the reason I asked if you'd post anything you found out about it in your blog is that I thought if someone answered you personally they might be able to tell you in more detail of what had caused the error with going through it from personal experience and if it really was anything to worry about because reading some of the things on the net there was several views as to the cause some said it was low battery others said dust and I think there was another reason but can't remember what it was right now and sometimes with the net you don't know which ones are right.
sorry to have bothered you.. thanks again, Linda
